The
K11 Art Foundation announces the formation of the K11 Art Foundation International Council, which
reflects K11 Art Foundation’s mission to champion and support emerging Asian contemporary artists.
The
Council is led by Dr. Alia Al-Senussi, a prominent cultural strategist, patron
and academic, and comprises influential art collectors and experts in their
fields. Collectively they will draw on their expertise, experience, and network
as international key opinion leaders in the cultural sphere to support and
promote exceptional artistic practices that challenge boundaries, inspire
innovation, and contribute to the future of contemporary art.
Committed
to promoting dialogue and collaborations that transcend borders, the Council
will convene during significant art world moments and landmark
cultural events, and propose initiatives to foster a global art
community where diverse perspectives converge and inspire one another.
The first project
spearheaded by the K11 Art Foundation International Council is the K11 Artist
Prize, which aims to provide emerging Asian artists with a
significant platform for recognition and professional advancement on the
international art scene. The artist selected for the K11 Artist Prize 2024 will
receive mentorship from the Council’s members, in addition to participating in
an exhibition, artist-in-residence programme, and other projects. Please click here for details.
