Fake Studio

Collaborated Project:

Polar Power Exhibition

Fake Studio exists to explore the middle ground between art and design that it sees as full of potential. Art, design, city and its people form the core of Fake Studio’s interests. They believe that the world has evolved, therefore art needs a social, urban angle; it must interact and be communicated.

Founded in London in 2000 by artist Fang Er and joined by Meng Jin in 2004, Fake Studio evolved from its early existence in the form of a blog, to an up-and-coming London design force and now an established studio based in Beijing. Along the way, Fake Studio has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world. In 2010, the duo began a new journey in public art creating large-scale sculptures and installations for various national and international institutes and private groups.
