K11 Art Foundation

Born in Guangdong in 1983, Yang Xinjia currently lives and works in Beijing. Inspired by his observation of the relations hidden behind objects and incidents, his recent creations consist of visual transformation and reconstruction of connections based on the forms extracted from his investigation of the hierarchies and folds that constitute those relations. Apart from his solo exhibition Hesitating at BIG SPACE in Shanghai (2015), Yang has also participated in Portable Domain at Firstdraft Gallery in Sydney (2015); Bridge, a residency event at Gwangju Museum of Art (2016); and Silk Road International of the Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts (2016) in recent years.
